How things change!

This year has been a year of change. We are coming up on the 2 year mark of living with my Mother in Law. Her health has improved, she had a serious surgery in March that took her some time to recover. She has a minor surgery scheduled for this coming Friday, a hernia repair.

We are down to only 2 paper routes now, hopefully less by the end of the year. It would be nice to give them all up, but one at a time will have to do. My goal at the moment is to have them gone by the end of next year. We will have to wait an see how that goes. I know Lawrence is tired, though he doesn't say anything and rarely complains. He looks at the routes as something like his own personal workout routine, but he is starting to put on weight so I don't think it's doing him that much good.

I have been playing my Sims 2 game quite a bit, as well as lots of recoloring. I still haven't learned how to mesh, but I might take a few computer graphics classes, who knows. I have nearly completed an Apocalypse Legacy, currently at generation 7. I also just started a Prosperity Challenge, only one week into that one at this time. I still enjoy recoloring, but have hit a creative roadblock. So I am just taking a break from that avenue.

Today I started what might turn out to be a really nice job. It's not official yet, but for all intents and purposes I have been hired. I will be assisting a young lady with Muscular Dystrophy, attending her college classes. I will be driving a lift van to Stockton, Monday thru Friday. She needs assistance in the bathroom. Also in the classroom getting the proper materials in and out of her book bag. I hope it becomes official, only get to wait and see. One thing is for sure, I need to get into better shape! It isn't too difficult to lift her, but a little more strength would make things easier and myself less tired.

The beginning to 2007!

Well, at the end of 2006 I spent a week visiting family in Utah. That was great, the only thing I missed was my cat's and playing my game, but only a little bit. I was kept busy with visiting and shopping and a late Christmas celebration, Mom waited until everyone was at her house to do Christmas!

Hmm, should I put my New Year's resolutions in black and white? Sure, maybe I will actually make some progress on them if I have to read them here every so often!

This year I want to make an effort to go back to church, on a more regular basis! Im not going to promise every single Sunday, because that's not realistic, but I will try hard to go more often.

I also want to get back into some kind of an exercise routine, I still have a membership at Curves and I could get back to the Mall walking club, so I will do at least one of these as often as I can.

Lawrence and I have promised ourselves and family that we will go to family reunion in Utah this June, so we are going to make every effort to save up for this trip, It will be a car trip and I believe we will be camping as usual so we will be prepared. Also, our young friend Michelle has been invited and I hope she can come along with us!

I am still a Featured Artist at Spiffy Sims, and I am slowly working on some recolors for them, Im not sure about January's theme, so... Im still working on that.

I am also playing an Apocalypse Legacy and blogging the story, At this time Im writing Part 5 and have lifted the Medical, Culinary, Military, Athletic and Criminal restrictions, there is only 1 more promotion needed to lift the Political one!

Well that's it for now, just a little bit about me and how Im approaching this new year!
