New Computer! Update!

UPDATE: It's December 8th and the new computer arrived on the 6th rather late in the evening. I didn't know that UPS ran as late as 7:00 pm. We got new "Desks" at Staples a few days ago. I put desks in quotations, because they are actually a couple of 4' folding tables. Both computers will be set up here in the office. It will be a while before both of them are connected to the internet, and eventually they will be networked. I moved the internet connection to the new computer. Most of yesterday was spent installing all of my programs. Now I can take my time moving files from the old computer to the new one. I still need a new ergonomic keyboard. My old keyboard isn't compatible with the new computer, and the keyboard that came standard is dinky!

The doofus at Dell sent me the wrong photo editing program! I KNOW I asked for Photo shop, but I got Print shop deluxe 21. GRRRR! I am going to see if its possible to send it back. Meanwhile I just went to the Corel website and bought Photo shop. Phooey with asking someone else to find what I can find for myself!

Getting a New Computer!

For Christmas this year we are getting a new computer as a family gift! We ordered it from Dell yesterday and it should arrive here on the 4th or 5th of December. We will be making payments on it for a while, but since my Mother in Law already had an established account with Dell, we won't have to pay interest! She just finished paying off her computer so the timing is perfect!

I'm not sure how things will be set up yet. It would be nice to network this computer and the new one and run them both. I could make this one an internet machine and word processor and the new one the game computer, but there isn't very much room on the desk or in this office, so I just don't know yet. We'll figure it out I guess!
